Job Description:
General Function / Summary:
The Manager, IT Network is responsible for overall enterprise network planning, design, installation, and daily operations. This role is also responsible for the oversight, guidance, performance and growth of the Network team as they fulfill both project and support needs.
Essential Duties:

Lead teams through full network lifecycle including requirements gathering, technical assessments, technical design, development, knowledge transfer, implementation, and support.

Establish network system specifications by conferring with users.

Generate regular KPIs to demonstrate continual improvement.

Oversee the network team to maintain efficient 24/7 operation and support of cloud network.

Contribute to the implementation and execution of new and/or upgraded network systems through well-defined plans, procedures, documentation, deadlines, and accountability.

Provide subject matter expertise and leadership on data networks for IT projects and initiatives.

Assist with managing 3rd party vendors.

Manage and verify proactive technical maintenance of systems through patch management and firmware upgrades are performed routinely. Enforces the creation of procedures for automated or proactive notifications related to equipment or service availability and to avoid performance issues.

Audits network systems’ service ticket queue to ensure tickets are assigned and addressed in a timely manner by team members in order to meet established service level agreement.

Execute people leader duties, such as performance management, timely completion of required training, ensure team metrics and associate career growth objectives are met.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or equivalent experience

4+ years in IT or network engineering

Strong experience with network infrastructure security

Experience in cloud and software defined network technologies

Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP and OSPF)
