Roles and Responsibilities
- Delivering, discussing and reporting on the IO BU (Immuno-Oncology Business Unit) operations and financial conditions
- Analyzing the financial statements and data to provide insights about the financial performance of the Business Unit
- Evaluating and quantifying a strategically aligned plan, for a defined period of time
- Serve as a business partner to the Business Unit’s leadership Team (Business Unit Head, Marketing, Sales, Business Insights & Analytics), which requires to understand the strategy, investment needs, and support driving resource allocation
- Using analytics to identify variances and root causes and prepare creative solutions
- Report actual results, prepare forecasts, and risks & opportunities based on the financial performance / analysis
- Recording, adjusting and reconciling financial transactions and events according to professional accounting standards
- Monthly closing and management of financial reporting accurately in a timely manner

Background and skills required
- Minimum 3 years work experience in Finance or any analytical job such as management / IT consulting (required)
- Proven track record in their career (required)
- Strong power point and advanced excel skills (required)
- Written and verbal presentation skills - able to present in both Japanese and English (required)
- Qualification in the “Areas of Competence” listed above (Highly preferred)
- Good command of accounting and understanding of internal controls (preferred)
- MBA/CPA (or equivalent), internal/external audit, USGAAP/IFRS and SAP knowledge are a plus (preferred)
- Experience working in a Multi-National company (preferred)
- Experience with Pharma industry (preferred)

BMS has a diverse occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture.
