Turning Space into a Transportation Layer for Earth
Who We Are:
Eras of humanity can often be defined by a dominate transportation mode - horse drawn chariots, ocean going boats, or aircraft. These were spurred by a small group of people rigorously focused on building technology to achieve faster access to more of the world. We seek to usher in a new era of humanity defined by universal access to the whole globe free of borders and the presence of a routine way from space to Earth. To do this, we are building highly maneuverable re-entry vehicles that can loiter in orbit before precision landing back on Earth.
What You'll Do:
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Integration and Test to lead a growing team of technicians responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex aerospace systems. This role will oversee workflows for mechanical build-up, propulsion system testing, avionics testing, and final vehicle integration activities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and testing hardware in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of technicians involved in assembly, integration, and test operations.
- Oversee the building and assembly of flight vehicles, propulsion systems, and avionics systems to strict technical and quality standards.
- Manage propulsion system testing and avionics testing campaigns, ensuring accurate test setups, execution, and data capture.
- Develop and maintain integration and test workflows to ensure efficient, repeatable processes across vehicle programs.
- Own the schedule and resource planning for integration and test operations to align with program milestones and engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues during build and test phases.
- Ensure the safe execution of hazardous operations, including high-pressure and high-temperature propulsion testing.
- Foster a strong culture of discipline, safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the technician team.
- Drive facility readiness, tooling needs, and process documentation to support growing integration and test activities.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle integration, propulsion testing, avionics testing, or related test operations.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams or test operations crews.
- Strong background in aerospace vehicle build-up, integration procedures, and test campaign execution.
- Familiarity with propulsion systems, avionics architectures, fluid systems, and ground support equipment (GSE).
- Expertise in developing workflows, test documentation, and build/test readiness processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
Preferred:
- Experience with launch vehicles, propulsion systems, or flight test programs.
- Knowledge of hazardous test operations, including cryogenic, high-pressure, and/or hot-fire environments.
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement training.
