This position will be charged with leading and supporting the ADvantage Collaboration Program across the legacy AUSA and legacy DA Brands for all in-scope categories. They will serve as a liaison and key contact for their assigned Brands/categories and collective drive initiatives and opportunities in collaboration with the ADvantage Program. They will be required to interact extensively throughout the organization with a strong collaborative presence across Supply Chain, Merchandising, MS&S, DC & Store Operations, and across the vendor community.
This position will be responsible for driving the company's new way of working across their assigned areas and Brands, and through extensive internal and external collaboration, partner to influence change and develop department best-practices. This position will be required to be subject matter experts in their Brands and categories, understanding the systems, tools, and processes by which the flow of goods move from category acceptance, through the DCs, down to the retail shelf.
This position will possess strong root causal identification skills to bring forth holistic solutions, process refinement, and alternative methodologies as they will be charged with managing cross-functional process improvement projects and initiatives. Solutions for continual improvement initiatives are implemented by utilizing LEAN Six Sigma concepts, including efficiency improvements in network and operations; reducing waste; increase promotional effectiveness; reducing inventory and driving on-shelf availability and sales as part of the ADUSA ADvantage program.
This position is accountable for delivering business insights and change management through process improvement related to and providing ongoing interpretation of objective insights and counsel to Supply Chain, Category Leadership, Brand Leadership, and our vendor community. This includes providing Executive level Supply Chain and Category Management Leaders with rich, objective insights, scorecards, and recommendations with targeted operational continual improvement plans and capturing ROI.
This position will be responsible for leading, guiding, training, and coaching a team of ADvantage Partners (analysts) who will be tasked with managing and collaborating with teams from 3rd Party resources including data solution partners and the Vendor Community.
This position will be a point of contact for the program across assigned Brands and categories. It is imperative that the associate have a broad understanding of Category Management and Supply Chain and that their analyses and recommendations will have a major impact on overall company sales, EBIT and working capital.
The position will require a high level of business maturity as they understand and maneuver around all the complexities and obstacles that might exist.
Essential job functions:

  • A leading role in Supply Chain comparable to Category Management with the responsibility of maintaining strong collaborative relationships and influence across many levels within the Brands and the Vendor Community.
  • Responsibility to ensure the program delivers the expected qualitative and quantitative results for our Brands and Supplier Partners, including future financial targets.
  • Manage supplier and Brand relationships within the program, providing insights, solutions, and alternative methodologies.
  • Leverages change-management methodology with our partners through continuous improvement, implementing new processes and ensuring these processes support the Brand strategies and goals, by collaborating among Supply Chain, Category Management, Store Replenishment, Demand Planning, Unsaleables Team, Procurement, Merchandising Systems/Services, Marketing, Sales Development (Business Planning), 3rd Party Replenishment, Private Brands, and the Brands.
  • Working directly with analyst team and utilizing Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies, manage cross-functional process improvement initiatives and drive projects from conceptualization to implementation and support the analysts in developing impactful and actionable insights.
  • Ensures that all program efforts are focused on our customers by driving efficiency improvements in network and operations, reducing waste, increasing promotional effectiveness, reducing inventory, and driving on-shelf availability and sales.
  • Maintains all Supply Chain vendor score-carding, collaboration tools and action registers/continuous improvement plans and manages supplier performance against KPIs to hold our vendors accountable to agree upon targets.
  • Responsible for providing Brand and Supply Chain Leadership communication and updates on program metrics and performance.
  • Leverages learnings from the team, suppliers, and the industry to drive best-practice behavior with the Brands and Vendor Community.
  • Works directly with the analyst team using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes with our 3rd parties.
  • Responsible for evaluating, recommending, and implementing solutions that reduce cost and/or improve service within the ADUSA supply chain and Brands.
  • Provide ongoing, objective counsel to Supply Chain, Category Leadership and Divisional Leadership on the proper interpretation and application of business data, program information and toolsets.
  • Supports Supply Chain and Brand leadership in providing guidance and support on Supply Chain solutions that drive revenue and brand loyalty.
  • Engage our supplier partners to create a collaborative Supply Chain forum to openly share insights with vendor leadership and respective ADUSA teams as part of the broader ADUSA collaboration efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expert of assigned Brands and Categories in store operations, category management, forecasting, and replenishment

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience across two or more of the following areas: CPG industry, Supply Chain Demand Management / Forecasting, Replenishment, Merchandising, Vendor Management, Category Management
  • Solid understanding of all elements influenced by the product flow channel, including, but not limited to: Replenishment, Forecasting, Category Management, Retail Operations, DC Operations, Logistics, Transportation, Systems, IT, Finance, and Vendor Management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
