Job Summary
Responsible for all daily HR duties for specified customer groups. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, staffing & recruitment, employee relations & legal compliance, employment related issue resolution, site safety and worker’s compensation. Managerial responsibilities for HR function for Supply Chain Management including Midwest, East and West Coasts Distribution Centers. Supervisory responsibility for 3 HR Generalists/Training Specialists. Will include travel up to 40% of the time.
*This position requires working onsite, either at our Pleasant Prairie, WI distribution center or at our Lake Zurich, IL U.S. headquarters.
• Salary Range: $94,000-118,300
• Position is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary.
• Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of HR professionals to provide employee relations and HR generalist support to local management to include appropriate counseling, guidance, and employment termination when necessary.
- Responsible for first level of escalation for higher complex issues from the local site management and HR staff handling employee relations issues, including benefits issues, compensation issues, organizational development or general employment concerns.
- Conduct investigative interviews when employee complaints arise (e.g., sexual harassment or discrimination). Evaluate information gathered and determine the best course of action from a business, ethical and legal compliance standpoint. Follow through with the most appropriate action and follow up with original complainant.
- Coordinate temporary staffing needs and maintains relationship with appropriate recruiting agencies.
- Manage the recruitment process and costs for all open headcount positions at the local site.
- Generate Hire Requisitions as needed.
- Utilize behavioral interviewing skills to screen potential candidates.
- Advise hiring panel on final job offer decision and work with Recruiting Team on offer and package.
- Maintain government reporting to include but not limited to Affirmative Action Compliance.
- Conduct exit interviews and investigates key issues or concerns.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of strong HR Generalist experience are required.
- Must be proficient in Windows applications and have an understanding of HRIS systems (preferably Workday).
- Knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits and general labor laws are required.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Ability to plan, set objectives, measure performance, provide direction, and build a culture of employee involvement at all levels.
- Must be able to travel up to 40%.
