How you will make an impact

As the Manager, Human Resources (HR)-Learning and Development, you will design, implement, and lead a comprehensive suite of development programs aimed at enhancing leadership skills, strengthening Halozyme’s organizational culture, supporting and enhancing our talent pipeline, and refining performance management practices at Halozyme. In this role, you will play a crucial role in aligning our talent development initiatives with the strategic goals of the company, thereby, fostering a robust learning environment that prepares employees for current and future challenges.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and oversee a portfolio of strategic development programs that support leadership growth, cultural enhancement, organizational planning, talent calibration, and performance management, ensuring they align with Halozyme’s Talent Strategies and overall strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and establish clear learning objectives that address the evolving developmental needs of our employees and resonate with all team members.
  • Design and deliver dynamic learning experiences using a variety of instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning preferences, facilitating engaging sessions that drive tangible skill development
  • Provide innovative learning solutions beyond the traditional classroom, with the ability to tailor learning solutions and scale when needed
  • Act as the principal contact for selected development initiatives, leading the end-to-end program lifecycle, including planning, designing, execution, and evaluation.
  • Ensure meticulous program management, collaborating with members of HR team to deliver high-impact, budget-conscious programs that include effective collaborator communication, logistical planning, material preparation, and vendor oversight.
  • Enhance and deliver an onboarding experience for new employees and hiring managers to assimilate into the Halozyme culture and setting up new hires for success.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions by facilitating a smooth integration process through training and development programs that address cultural differences, bridge skill gaps and equip employees with the necessary knowledge to operate effectively in Halozyme
  • Design and facilitate comprehensive learning components for pre-event, during-event, and post-event stages to optimize the impact of integrated development experiences.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience (a combination of experience and education may be considered)
  • Proven background in program management and a track record of designing and delivering impactful development programs.
  • Prior experience managing or facilitating flagship development programs is desirable.
  • A genuine enthusiasm and expertise for live, in-person, and virtual facilitation and an ability to employ various techniques to ensure engagement and skill development.
  • Experience with learning technologies like LMS, online learning platforms, gamification and video creation.
  • A history of successful partnership with senior management, establishing trust and effective relationships across the organization.
  • Proven experience in leading change initiatives and developing leaders within a corporate environment.
  • An intellectually curious and inclusive leadership style, coupled with a passion for ongoing learning and talent development.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data and present insights effectively.
  • Graduate or Master’s degree is preferred

The most likely base pay range for this position is $105K - $147K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
