The Product and Portfolio Management cum Business Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the bank's product portfolio, driving business development initiatives, and ensuring the successful implementation of new products and services. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, financial analysis, and strong relationship management skills.
Functional (job responsibilities)
- Product Coverage is by Portfolio basis: Retail Financing.
- Manage the overall product development life cycle by collaborating with stakeholders, counterparties and business partners to achieve quality desired outcomes.
- Propose, develop and implement new Islamic products and services or enhancements to the existing Islamic products and services, in accordance with the Bank’s strategic business direction, that are in compliance with Shariah, internal policies and other statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Recommend initiatives to revise existing products and/or develop new products to comply with new regulatory requirements, if necessary.
- Prepare proposal papers for the internal approving committees for deliberation and approvals.
- Responsible for the products and services initiatives submission to regulators i.e. BNM, Securities Commission, PIDM, FIMM, etc.
- Establish or enhance product related documentations including standard operating procedures, create training materials and conduct training prior to product launch for the new products or variations to the existing products.
- Ensure timely deliverables to capture market opportunities.

- A self-starter, independent, self organized, meticulous and able to work under tight deadlines.
Organizational (organizational responsibilities)
- Excellent organizational and co-ordination skills, intellectually curious.
- Posses dynamic and positive working attitude towards multi-tasking and proactively seeks out opportunities to advance and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders and product owners in launching / on-boarding sustainable products that will build the revenue and achieve profitability targets.
Education/Qualification/Experience
- Possess a degree in finance, accounting, banking, business administration or other related specialization.
- Minimum 3 years of professional working experience in the related field.
- Prior exposure in Islamic product development or equivalent experience is a-plus.
- Multi-tasker, detail-oriented, independent, good interpersonal and communication skills.
