We are searching for a Hardware Engineering Manager based in Scottsdale, AZ. In this position the individual will lead and mentor a team of Mixed -Signal engineers. Our ideal candidate will typically have 7-15 years of experience, but this can vary, depending on ability and relevant experience.
This will be a hybrid role based in Scottsdale, AZ.
Essential Functions:
- Devise solutions to technical problems that arise in products in development and production, including safety and EMC compliance. Create engineering change notices, as necessary.
- Work with project managers to define project schedules for hardware tasks. Keep project tasks on schedule and help find solutions to mitigate unexpected delays.
- Work with product development team to integrate digital elements with other parts of the product design.
- Oversee and manage a team of Mixed-Signal Engineers
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At a minimum, a BSEE/BSET or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in related electronics design required.
- Must have experience overseeing and leading a team of engineers.
- Experience in advanced design, analysis, and debugging skills sufficient to design electronic circuits for audio products.
- Proficiency with analog audio design, including discrete and op-amp circuits.
- Must be familiar with the best design practices for low noise and high-quality audio.
- Familiar with PCB Layout practices for high-speed digital circuits.
- Experience with design and layout for serial bus protocols (i.e., I2S, USB, I2C, SPI).
- Experience with Bluetooth / Wi-Fi radios and circuitry is a plus.
- Experience working with ARM processor platforms.
- Experience with memory interface circuits such as DDR.
- Familiar with EMC design practices. Experience in solving EMC and safety compliance problems.
- Good technical and non-technical communications skills.
- Project planning skills and management skills.
