Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, strategic and innovative Marketing Manager to join our team. The individual will lead our Offline Marketing and Partnerships Team. In this role, the individual is expected to collaborate closely with different stakeholders - both external and internal - to develop and rollout effective on-ground activation programs, strategic out of home placement strategies, and initiation, creation and execution of co-marketing programs with key business partners. 

Working closely with the Vertical Marketing Teams, Cross-functional Operations team, and various external agencies, you and your team will own the end to end development and execution of Partnership Programs, On-ground Activations, and Out of Home Marketing initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and lead a team of marketing professionals that supports the Marketing team across the following functions:

  • Lead the Offline Marketing Team:
    • Collaborate with multiple activations agencies to develop and execute effective on-ground programs that align with key consumer funnel objectives.
    • Partner with the AOR media agency to strategize out-of-home placement based on market insights, competitive analysis, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead the Partnerships Team:
    • Work closely with the Business Development team to identify and spearhead co-marketing programs, enhancing brand relevance across target markets.
    • Develop marketing programs and provide support for partnership initiatives aimed at mutual benefit for Grab and its partners.
  • Administrative Management:
    • Ensure efficient management of administrative tasks, focusing on budget oversight and regulatory compliance, including Ad Standards Council (ASC) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) permit requirements

The Day-to-Day Activities:

Lead Marketing (Offline and Partnerships) Strategy:

  • Strategic Direction: Lead bi-annual strategy and direction setting for your team, aligning with overall business priorities. Develop targeted programs for key segments based on defined strategies and plans.
  • Collaborative Brainstorming: Facilitate brainstorming sessions and discussions with various stakeholders, including vertical leads, creatives, social teams, and key business partners, to create impactful outputs that inspire consumer confidence and action.

Program Execution and Optimization:

  • Seamless Execution: Oversee the design and rollout of offline programs from start to finish, collaborating closely with multiple agencies and internal stakeholders. React swiftly to mid-campaign performance and optimize activities as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams such as marketing analytics, consumer research, and vertical marketing leads to analyze results, gain valuable insights, and recommend improvements. Drive program effectiveness through informed decisions.
  • Thought Leadership: Lead the charge in collaborating with key stakeholders by extracting actionable insights that enhance consumer go-to-market (GTM) strategies.

People Leadership and Stakeholder Management:

  • Inspire and Lead: Guide the team by fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and curiosity. Provide valuable strategic direction to ensure clear goals, remove roadblocks, and keep the team on course.
  • Collaborate and Coordinate: Manage key stakeholders within Marketing (e.g., Public Relations, Digital Performance, Market Research, Agencies) as well as Business Development and Operations teams. Ensure your campaigns deliver a best-in-class consumer experience by fostering strong relationships and seamless coordination.

Qualifications

The must haves:

  • Experienced in Activations Marketing: a vast experience on onground activations - spanning from driving massive onground presence to aggressive, but efficient consumer acquisition programs. Have worked within or have collaborated heavily with agency partners in the development of these programs and activations. 
  • Experience in developing partner campaigns: ability to work closely with business partners in coming with interesting programs that drive partnership value.
  • Curious about emerging trends and disruptions across a wide spectrum of marketing thinking, tools and technologies in the offline marketing and partnerships spaces. Has a strong desire to experiment and scale programs across multiple verticals.
  • Results-oriented but with strong business curiosity: Able to make data-informed recommendations for marketing programs while having strong ability to debate and challenge with key stakeholders based on insights and data.
  • Chaos herder and Silo crosser: a track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and enforce friction-reducing processes and cadences. Strong desire to drive continuous improvement, there’s always a smarter, faster, better way things could work.
