What you will do

The Prudential Financial Inc. Global Mobility Team is seeking a Global Mobility Manager that will thrive in a fast-paced and complex work environment supporting PGIM, our global asset management business. We are looking for candidates able to quickly build solid and constructive relationships with our business partners, functional managers, legal, tax advisors and vendors with the goal of supporting talent mobility across international borders.

Candidates should possess international work experience and demonstrate the ability to quickly comprehend and analyze complex situations and clearly communicate and recommend solutions to management and our business partners.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a general knowledge of cross border human resource experience and understand the complications of such human resource arrangements. International payroll, benefits, compensation and/or general accounting and taxation experience would be a plus.

Primarily based and with a hybrid work arrangement at our offices in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, Ireland, this position will report to the Director of Global Mobility, based in Newark, New Jersey, and will support the global PGIM business to manage cross-border talent mobility. This role entails collaborating with colleagues across the globe and flexibility with working hours to accommodate communications across time zones (North America, EMEA and Asia) is required.

What you can expect

  • Under the direction of the Director of Global Mobility, support the initiation of cross-border relocation cases under the Prudential Global Mobility International Assignment Programme (the “Expat Programme”), which includes the execution of the relocation framework and implementing the regulatory compliance requirements. 

  • Track and assess employee remote work and cross border movement under the Prudential Cross Border Remote-Work Guidelines (“Remote Work Guidelines”) and coordinate remote work and cross border cases with tax, immigration, and legal advisors.

  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts, including the Company’s payroll and tax and immigration advisors to implement tax and compliance controls.

  • Work with tax and immigration providers to recommend remote/cross border work cases solutions to our business partners.

  • Support the PGIM global and local HR Business Partners, HR operations and payroll teams with the multi-jurisdictional payroll and benefit taxation requirements and processing for cross border transfers and long-term expatriate assignments. 

  • Develop, track and report on international business travel compliance risk.  This would include managing specific country tax and immigration requirements such as the Swiss Mobility Rule and UK Short Term Visitor Reporting and escalating any red-flag cases to subject matter experts for further review and action, as necessary.

  • Managing the operational and administrative aspect of supporting Global Mobility cases including:

    • Relocation Purchase Orders and Ernst and Young (EY) initiation for international assignments under the Expat Programme.

    • HRIS/recordkeeping support for opening and closing International Assignment Records

    • Updating Global Mobility tracking systems for assignments, remote work, transfers

    • Preparing draft Letters for Letters of Assignment, Repatriation, Transfers, etc. under the Expat Programme

    • Implementing and documenting procedures to support processes under the Expat Programme and the Remote Work Guidelines.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in a business-related field

  • Experience preferably in a human resource, payroll, finance, tax or global mobility role

  • Global business experience

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex international multi-faceted situations

  • Demonstrated skills as a team player and capable of working independently

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with MS suite of business tools e.g., Excel, PowerPoint etc.

What will set you apart?

  • International payroll experience

  • General accounting or multi-jurisdictional tax experience

  • Fluency in a language other than English – European languages a plus

  • Experience with Workday HCM
