WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
The Manager, Data Operations is responsible for overseeing the management and coordination of daily service deliverables related to the handling of market and master data for financial instruments across various clients. This role requires effective leadership abilities, deep knowledge of financial instruments, and a responsibility to maintain high-quality service delivery. The Manager will also oversee performance cycles for team members, address immediate resource needs, and ensure compliance with SLAs and operational protocols.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Lead and supervise the Data Operations team during the assigned shift, managing performance cycles, ensuring individual and team goals are met, and promoting professional growth.

Manage shift schedules, including resource allocation, to meet service deliverables while ensuring team well-being and operational efficiency.

Oversee client onboarding processes, collaborating closely with clients to ensure smooth integration of data operations, including training and transition phases.

Coordinate with team members to collect, control, and distribute financial instrument data effectively while ensuring alignment with client-specific requirements.

Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system or data changes, ensuring thorough testing and feedback loops to guarantee quality and functionality prior to deployment.

Document and communicate client requirements and procedures in a clear, consistent format to ensure smooth implementation and delivery.

Conduct quality checks to ensure data integrity and strict adherence to established runbooks, operational protocols, and SLAs.

Promptly and professionally address client inquiries, escalations, and service requests, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to agreed timelines.

Collaborate with leadership to optimize shift performance, resolve operational problems, and implement process improvements.

Maintain compliance with governance and risk frameworks, including operational risk, audit deliverables, and internal control standards.

Continuously evaluate and enhance processes, quality controls, and manual workarounds to increase operational efficiency and reduce errors.

Create a collaborative, team-oriented work environment that encourages continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and high team morale.
WHAT WE VALUE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, data management, or a related field.

12+ years of experience in data operations, financial data management, or a similar role within the financial industry.

Extensive experience managing teams, overseeing performance management cycles, and coordinating shift schedules in a demanding environment.

Experience in client onboarding, including managing data integration, stakeholder communication, and process implementation.

Experience with UAT testing, ensuring new systems or changes meet client expectations and operational requirements.

In-depth knowledge of traditional and non-traditional financial instruments and markets, including structured securities.

Effective problem-solving abilities, with the capability to make sound decisions during stressful conditions.

Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and engaging with clients at all levels.

Familiarity with data vendor feeds and display products (e.g., Bloomberg, IDC, Reuters).

Knowledge of operational data management principles, governance, and risk frameworks.

Proficiency in service request systems or similar ticketing tools (e.g., HPALM, Service Now).
