The position
You will be a part of building up a Service Centre in Bagsværd, where you will be responsible for our utilities and interior maintenance with a focus on ensuring stable supplies at all times.
You will manage a team, initially consisting of 3-6 employees (engineers and technicians), and as a team player, you will take part in the daily operations and coordination.
The role requires an experienced manager with a service mindset and a high personal drive to execute operations and development on several fronts. You will be part of a management group with colleagues in similar positions from other sites in Novo Nordisk, Denmark. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Build and develop the team and recruit the right colleagues, identifying solutions and strategies to enable the sites growth in collaboration with employees and stakeholders
  • Secure high people engagement through empowerment, being present and supporting development
  • Optimise and expand maintenance concepts across line of business areas through high degree of stakeholder integration and professional capabilities.
  • Participate in authority inspections and audits.
  • Promote an agenda focusing on technological innovations and continuous improvements, as well as engaging in our green initiatives like "Circular for Zero"


As a person you thrive in a complex stakeholder landscape and drive communication and interact on various organisational levels, including presenting investment plans and business cases to higher management levels.
Qualifications

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technology or similar, or prior experience in a relevant position
  • Management experience or proven experience in informal leadership (e.g. project management, outsourcing teams etc.)
  • Several years of operational management experience, preferably from a pharmaceutical company
  • Hands-on experience and interest with utilities and IT systems (SAP, DALUX etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Danish

About the department
You will be part of the Service Centre's department in Corporate Facilities, consisting of +60 dedicated colleagues responsible for the operations and maintenance of non-GxP Black utilities, interior building maintenance and hard Facility Management services across all Danish sites. We are expanding our footprint to support Novo Nordisk's growth journey. Our managers will play a key role in driving this expansion at the Bagsværd site and potentially other sites in close collaboration with key stakeholders and other lines of business.
Corporate Facilities consists of approximately 350 colleagues from various fields and is anchored within Finance, Legal, and Global Solutions. We enable Novo Nordisk to focus on its core business by delivering simple and agile solutions for physical infrastructures such as campuses, properties, utilities, and workplaces. In addition, we offer facility management services and security operations. We continue to develop and maintain a large project portfolio and create tangible business results by collaborating with all areas of the company. What we do affects all of Novo Nordisk's Danish colleagues.
