Position Summary

Responsible for ongoing execution of Enterprise Risk Management programs, including Concentration Risk Management, Emerging Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Assessment, and Strategic Plan Risk Assessment, as well as supporting the implementation and maturity of Strategic and Reputational Risk Programs in 2nd Line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of the annual Enterprise Risk Assessment; work with key stakeholders to prepare materials, support users, manage meetings, and prepare report for committees

  • Lead execution of the annual Strategic Plan Assessment; working with key stakeholders to prepare assessment materials, manage meetings and document results

  • Contribute to the design and maturity of the emerging risk and concentration risk management programs

  • Monitor emerging risks, reviews key performance indicators/metrics, and industry trends to proactively identify and report on potential threats to the organization

  • Develop ongoing training for first and second line stakeholders on relevant programs.

  • Support implementation of Strategic and Reputational Risk Management Frameworks by working with Business partners to develop and enhance risk programs across the organization

  • Develop and maintain policy and documentation for ERM programs and relevant policies, procedures, and job aides.

  • Prepare reports to senior management and executive committees on risk programs results, unmitigated risks with strategies and efforts to address, and assists with regulatory examination preparation

  • Remain knowledgeable about the enterprise risks areas across the bank, including areas of cross organizational risk and concentration risk.

  • Provides support for special projects and initiatives as appropriate.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • BS in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Four to seven years' experience in Operational risk management, enterprise risk management, audit experience required, project management and banking experience preferred

  • Able to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines and expectations required.

  • Knowledge of banking operational processes and/or experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

  • Ability to partner effectively across the organization and develop positive working relationships.

  • Demonstrated conceptual thinking and analytical skills.

  • Inquisitive nature, resourcefulness, and ability to seek out information.

  • Ability to work independently in a continuously changing environment.

  • Energetic and positive outlook.

  • Familiar with using GRC Platforms

  • Advanced PC/system skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel (V Lookup and Pivot Tables), PowerPoint.

This is role has a hybrid work schedule and can be based in our Southington, CT, Stamford, CT or White Plains, NY office.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $110,000 USD to $135,000 USD.  Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
