Team Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of business analysts and quality analysts who work to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing processes and frameworks, ensuring that requirements are well-defined, data is accurately analyzed, and solutions are rigorously tested. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise data systems, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement quality assurance methodologies to validate data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business requirements.
- Drive the development of test strategies, plans, and cases to verify data integrity and functionality of solutions.
- Provide deep leadership and coaching in the Quality and Business lifecycle. Focus on shared learning, continuous improvement, and drive adoption of best practices.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, teamwork and people development.
- Provide mentorship to accelerate the development of solution architecture and technical expertise, specific to the Lilly Tech@Lilly environment.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables for the business analysis and quality analysis functions.
- Develop and optimize workflows, processes, and methodologies to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-quality outcomes.
- Coach and develop team members through performance management, development planning, promotion, and career plans; represent those team members in talent discussions.
- Develop metrics and dashboards to track the team’s performance, project progress, and data quality benchmarks.
- Regularly report to leadership on team productivity, project outcomes, and areas for improvement.Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Set clear team goals and objectives, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
People Management and Development
- Recruits, develops, and retains a strategic and operationally capable workforce skilled and knowledgeable in required technologies and data governance
- Effectively creates and manages an agile organization that continuously meets the needs of a changing portfolio.
- Builds an organizational culture aligned with Team Lilly – inclusion, innovation, acceleration, delivery, integrity, excellence, and respect for people.
- Develops staff who demonstrate expertise, strategic thinking, project management, and cross-functional leadership.
- Provide input on employee development, talent assessment, and succession planning activities.
- Develops an organizational talent base that demonstrates judgment-based decision making.
- Provides guidance, training, and supervision to personnel.
- Appropriately manage the workload of direct reports; monitor project timelines and quality, and communicate priorities to direct reports.
- Provide technical support and guidance to direct reports as needed.
- Evaluates performance by reviewing documents and attending writing team meetings, and recommends developmental actions for all assigned staff.
- Ensure all direct reports are compliant with company policies, procedures and regulations.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of management of a team or teams should be able to lead a team of around 8 to 12 members.
- Minimum 10 years of total experience
- Familiarity with data management frameworks and data quality tools.
- Strong background having breadth of experience and technical knowledge.
- Lead teams to rationalize, optimize and support applications for maximum speed and scalability with industry best practices.
- Proven experience leading a team in a regulated industry including but not limited to, understanding regulations, SOPs, computer systems validation, and change control.
- Strong understanding of business processes in industries such as finance, healthcare, or technology.
