Job Summary:
Leads the Cat Digital Connectivity Compliance team by collaborating with internal and external partners to proactively identify regulations impacting Connectivity. Designs, implements, and maintains strategic, multi-disciplinary programs in support of connectivity compliance strategy.
What You Will Do:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of identifying upcoming regulations, assess impact of upcoming regulation on Caterpillar connected solutions.
  • Accountable for certification (NPI/Aftermarket) and re-certification of PL
  • Accountable to monitor devices reporting from non-certified/embargoes countries and take action to suspend them
  • Responsible to oversee and drive compliance project with Cat Digital and ICS (eg. EU data Act, EU Red, CRA etc.)
  • Manage PL and harness supply demand from aftermarket team with ICS and supplier(s)
  • Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; assist with developing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and providing general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
  • Planned and ad-hoc communications of findings/risks to stakeholders

Organizational Leadership:

  • Employs various group decision-making methods depending on the situation.
  • Promotes efficacy through monitoring, coaching & motivating peers, intervention, etc.
  • Initiates structure: role clarification, setting standards, holding peers accountable, etc.


Program Management:

  • Evaluates risks, vulnerabilities and creates contingency plans.
  • Conducts regular and ad-hoc program reviews with project managers, team and clients.
  • Coaches others in maintaining open communication among project managers and interested parties.
  • Oversees reporting requirements, and creates monitoring and control mechanisms.


Change Control:

  • Defines and communicates change risks, contingency alternatives and associated benefits and drawbacks.
  • Coordinates the implementation of change in diverse and complex production environments.


Problem Management:

  • Monitors and improves problem reporting, tracking, escalation and resolution.
  • Estimates costs and benefits of potential solutions and makes recommendations.
  • Conducts trend and root cause analysis to identify and address recurring problems.
  • Identifies and evaluates alternative approaches to resolving service problems .

Additional Details:
This position must be based out of either the Peoria, IL or Chicago, IL offices with a flexible hybrid work environment.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
