Description
The USRM Data Analytics and Engineering (DAE) team is looking for a data engineering leader who has a passion for driving results through dynamic teams and thrives in an environment of servant leadership and has hands-on Agile expertise. We are seeking a passionate and technical People Leader to manage our Digital Tagging, Analytics Implementation and Data Engineering teams. This role will be integral to managing our digital data collection infrastructure, implementing advanced tracking solutions, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance across our digital ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with tag management platforms like Tealium, or Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Analytics systems such as Adobe Analytics, CJA, CDP, Google Analytics, and possess a solid foundation in JavaScript and front-end development.
Leads teams responsible for managing digital data collection from beginning (goal of Application/Feature) to end (reporting of Application/Feature) to provide an accurate and trustworthy digital data foundation and data literacy.
You will also lead and mentor a team of data engineers, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to enable data-driven decision-making from the finance management reporting data product. The leader will ensure data quality and accessibility while showing expertise in SQL and ETL processes.
Your teams are in Boston, Portsmouth, Seattle, Plano and remote locations. This role is inside the US Retail Markets (USRM) Technology team and will report to the Director of Business Data Solutions Engineering within the USRM Data Analytics and Engineering (DAE) team.
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the team in the implementation and maintenance of all digital analytics data collection for Liberty's domain properties and applications both customer and agents facing
  • Collaborate with digital product owners, domain owners, and marketers to ensure proper tagging/integration of their marketing technology and data capture implementation, in line with measurement plan and business objectives
  • Partner with IT/Technology on the continuous development process of enhancements made on our digital properties
  • Be at the forefront of digital analytics implementation technology advancements, continuously learn and explore areas of opportunity
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of digital analytics tools (Adobe Experience Cloud, specifically Adobe Analytics, Tag Management System - DTM/Adobe Launch, Decibel, Google Analytics) for upcoming and existing digital properties
  • Work closely with digital business analysts to define implementation requirements, functional/tagging specification documents and maintain implementation design documentation and data dictionaries
  • Lead team through development, customization and troubleshooting events and tags in complex environments with the use of JavaScript, XML, HTML and CSS
  • As a leader, contribute to creation and evolution of standards and baseline practices as part of the digital analytics' high-performance engineering
  • Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, JSON, and API integrations for data ingestion and transformation
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with Data Layer standards, formatting, and governance
  • Knowledge of Agile development and software lifecycle methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate in regular meetings with team members and management
  • Managing a robust product vision and roadmap, understanding user personas, stakeholder needs and satisfaction for Digital Data/Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)
  • Understanding customer features and guide Digital product owners in thinking through the reporting that will be needed and then translate into necessary tagging implications across our digital platforms and interfaces
  • Ensuring a consistent tagging approach that enables desired reporting
  • Validating tagging and usability within both Adobe Analytics UI as well as raw clickstream data - during feature releases as well as any necessary regression testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define tagging requirements for digital properties, such as websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms
  • Ability to operate in agile engineering delivery and create accountability for the teams to deliver on business and technical priorities and outcomes


Qualifications
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or applied mathematics, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of JS, XML, HTML and CSS, or mobile app development
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with tag management systems (DTM, Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Ensighten, etc.)
  • Experience with digital analytics debugging tools, as well as data layer definition and maintenance
  • Experience with traditional and modern data warehousing, data lake, analytics, and reporting technologies such as AWS/Cloud, Snowflake, Informatica, Data Vault 2.0, CI/CD, BI Tools.
  • Knowledge of agile engineering practices, development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Slack, VersionOne).
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in digital analytics, data architecture, data engineering or data product ownership
  • 5+ years' experience leading data analysts, engineers, and/or developers


Recommended Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and experience with implementation and usage of web analytics and tagging tools - primarily Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tealium, Tags and others.
  • Adept in connecting requirements to technology, uncovering new uses of technology and defining product evaluation criteria
  • Impeccable attention to detail, while being comfortable with ambiguity
  • Experience with testing analytics tags end to end
  • Team leadership and people development experience that ensures high team satisfaction, development and effective utilization of offshore talent
  • Desire to innovate within the digital analytics and data engineering space to drive efficiency in operations
  • Ability to Support Onboarding and Training internal teams in data collection tools and processes
