If so, we’re glad you’re here. Weber Shandwick is currently seeking a Community Manager/Junior Social Writer to join our team. This motivated collaborator will bring their ✨passion✨ for all things social to our high-performance, collaborative team. As Community Manager/Junior Social Writer, you will act as a liaison between client brands and their audiences with proactive and reactive content.

Who Are We Looking For? 

The ideal candidate will elevate our social work by exploring new ways to leverage community engagement strategies to move our clients from “brands in social” to truly social brands. You understand the language of the internet and know that the comments are where the real heat is these days.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging audiences: serve as the central voice responding to and engaging with fans, followers and other stakeholders
  • Creating and sharing content: guide the creation of content to fit the needs, desires and unique voice of our brand(s) and their audiences 
  • Planning and managing content: support the seamless operation of channels and their content
  • Collaborating with teams: Work across internal and external teams to support the activation of social strategies
  • Analyzing data: Support the ongoing evaluation of work through quantitative and qualitative analysis 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in a social, advertising, communications or PR role
  • Ability to develop creative, engaging and original content
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Good client and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in word processing applications, spreadsheets, presentation software and social media management tools
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills

NYC Salary range: $74,000 - $85,000

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
