About This Role:
The Manager, Commissioning SME (Subject Matter Expert) plays a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of Crusoe.ai's data center and infrastructure projects. This position directly impacts the company's ability to bring new data centers online efficiently and effectively, contributing to revenue generation and operational excellence. You will lead the commissioning process, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners on exciting projects involving cutting-edge data center technology. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in data center commissioning, strong leadership skills, and a passion for process optimization. This is a full-time position.
What You’ll Be Working On:

Commissioning Process Development and Oversight: Develop and oversee comprehensive commissioning processes for data center systems, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure.

Standards and Documentation: Define and implement commissioning standards, protocols, and documentation aligned with industry best practices and Crusoe's operational goals.

Functional Performance Testing: Lead functional performance testing to validate that systems and components meet design specifications and operational requirements.

Issue Resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve issues during testing, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of commissioning activities with project timelines and objectives.

Contractor and Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to ensure their commissioning processes adhere to Crusoe's standards.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed commissioning reports, including test results, issue logs, and recommendations for operational improvements.

System Handover and Training: Ensure a smooth transition of systems to the operations team through comprehensive documentation and training.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:

Commissioning Expertise: 3+ years of experience in commissioning, with a leadership or SME focus, specifically within the Data Center space.

Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in commissioning gas-fired turbines, electrical infrastructure, UPS, Switchgear, Transformers, Mechanical and HVAC equipment, Fire suppression, data center systems, and other mission-critical infrastructure. Strong knowledge of relevant mechanical, electrical, and IT systems.

Software and Tool Proficiency: Proficiency with commissioning software and tools, such as CxAlloy, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.

Industry Standards Familiarity: Familiarity with industry standards, including ASHRAE, IEEE, and LEED commissioning guidelines.

Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative environment. Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective conveyance of technical information to diverse audiences.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems, implement innovative solutions, and analyze data to drive process improvements.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $205,000 - $220,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
