Golin Chicago is looking for a Manager Catalyst to join our team!

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage and support day-to-day operations and team needs for two consumer lifestyle accounts (food-related) 
  • Liaison between clients and integrated teams across earned, social, influencer, creative, measurement, etc., keeping a pulse across the full team and being a true dot connector  
  • Support the development of communications strategies and campaign plans; including research, tactical development, and coordination with SMEs for input  
  • Execute communications strategies and campaigns, ensuring work is high-quality, on time, and withing budget 
  • Build and maintain client relationships; provide client counsel on tactical matters with supervision and develop weekly status update documents 
  • Manage client communications and expectations by effectively addressing needs in a timely manner 
  • Manage vendor communications and contracting and coordinating payments 
  • Help manage and implement ongoing newsroom efforts 
  • Work effectively in a large team environment and collaborate with people of all job levels 
  • Develop timelines, budgets and staffing plans for all projects and ensure team adheres to them 
  • Assist with account finances and managing the team’s time 

 

What You Have: 

  • 4-year degree in marketing, PR/communications, business, or related field 
  • 3-5 years PR experience 
  • Experience working within large integrated teams, with deep project management and client relations management knowledge 
  • Strong understanding of the earned media landscape, as well as experience touching social and paid influencer 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) 
  • Clear and concise writing and editing skills 
  • Quality and effective presentation skills 
  • A detail-oriented approach to your work 
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and client teams at all levels 
  • Comfort and confidence in high-pressure, high-leverage situations and addressing sensitive subject matters 
  • Problem solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset 
  • A multi-tasker that thrives in a fast-paced environment 
  • A proactive self-starter who can manage up and down, with an eagerness to dive in and raise your hand for opportunities

Salary Range: $55,000 – $95,000 

 

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
