Manager, Automation Engineering

Position Purpose: Responsible for leading design and development of a highly scalable, automation platform by using automation and configuration management tools which provide optimal performance. This role also leads the transformation of deployment, release, configuration and testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of automation tools. This role mentors and coaches junior team members and brings in thought leadership for emerging technology areas.

• Leads the development and management of end-to-end automated solutions for IT operations activities (including deployment, release management, monitoring, maintenance, etc.)
• Develops deep understanding in technical domain and demonstrate thought leadership in emerging technology areas
• Oversees and participate in the development, execution, and maintenance of test plans and automation test scripts according to quality standards
• Designs strategy and frameworks for developing highly scalable, automation platforms by using automation and configuration management tools
• Enhances the existing automation scripts to increase the functional coverage and scenarios for better performance
• Participates in review meetings, test plan reviews, and share regular reporting with senior management
• Manages the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conduct performance reviews, provide leadership, technical guidance, and coaching to automation and quality assurance engineers
• Shares knowledge and develop staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of automation engineering, business issues, and best practices
• Develops and communicates organizational objectives; inspire and motivate team members to achieve results
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
• Lead MS Power Platform initiative

Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills:

• One or more of the following skills are desired.
• Knowledge of Other: building AI/ML solutions, automation offerings, data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple systems on premises and cloud-based sources and robotic processing, scripting, and automation framework design
• Experience with one or more of the following Other: infrastructure as a code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc
• MS Power Platform

Pay Range: $116,800.00 - $216,200.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
