About this Opportunity:
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the general accounting functions of Orion Advisor Solutions, LLC and its entities. The position is responsible for ensuring the accurate completion, analysis and reporting of general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll, prepaid and other accounting sub-ledgers. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.
For External Candidates:
Candidates must work in-office at one of the following locations for at least 3 days per week: Omaha, NE.

In this role, you'll get to:

Develop, implement, and communicate policies and procedures as they relate to general accounting practices, accrual methods, journal entry creation, and reconciliations in conjunction with corporate and compliance standards

Develop and mentor the Accounting shared service team

Establish team and individual goals for the shared service team accounting

Ensure accuracy of all cash and credit card transactions and ensures all bank accounts are reconciled to the general ledger on a monthly basis

Ensure timely recording of all transactions including accounts payable, payroll backup, fixed assets, and standard monthly accruals

Manage aspects of Great Plains: General Ledger, A/P, Cash Management, and fixed Assets

Assist with year-end audits and tax compliance

Manage Vendor Relationships (i.e. auditors, tax preparers, Custodians, Brokers, etc.)

Complete the month-end close process including journal entries and account reconciliations

Reconcile all sub-ledger interfaces and system balances

Ensure the recording of accurate margins and investigate and correct gross margin discrepancies

Prepare and distribute month-end financial reports

Perform financial statement review and analysis and prepare variance explanations

Prepare year-end audit work-papers and support annual audit process

Develop, document, implement, and maintain controls, processes and procedures

Participate as an active team member on special projects and ad hoc projects

Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions

Assist in the preparation all corporate tax analysis and filings

Direct the plans for all financial systems modifications and upgrades
We're looking for talent who:

Is proficient in Orion Advisor Technology platform

Is proficient in Salesforce.com or Laserfiche systems

Has minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Obtain Orion Industry Certification

Has minimum of 3 years of accounting experience

Already has prior management experience
-
Has prior full charge bookkeeping service experience

Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:
$90,784.00 - $140,617.00
The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
