Your Next Career Opportunity – Manager, Accounting
Under the direction of the department leaders, the accounting manager is responsible for assisting with all company financial accounting and internal financial reporting activities.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities

• Manage, review, and validate work performed by Staff Accountants and/or Accounting Supervisors.
• Prepare analysis of financial statements.
• Facilitate monthly reconciliation of GL accounts.
• Meet performance timelines associated with month-end close.
• Assist with Quarterly reviews and Year-end audits.
• Prepare quarterly analytics for the external audit process.
• Assist with Sarbanes Oxley documentation and test requirements.
• Streamline and improve internal reporting and close processing of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with all SBA policies and procedures.
• Manage multiple projects as directed by the department head.
• Other Responsibilities May Include:
  • Assistance with SEC reporting.
  • Assistance in quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting of SBA.
  • Oversight of internal reporting function, which includes but is not limited to: financial statements, consolidations, and monthly package.
  • Management of equity and non-cash compensation accounting functions and related financial reporting.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high performing team members.
• Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.
• Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance.
• Create a culture that is consistent with the organization's focus on team member engagement and that aligns with the organization's mission, vision and values.
• Lead team members using a performance management and development-focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning.
• Lead team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - required.
• ​Experience, preferably with a public company; Real Estate/ Property Management or construction accounting.
• Experience in management.
• Knowledge of US and BR GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Knowledge of IFRS  (International Financial Reporting Standards).

• Great Plains, Job Costing, and Hyperion HFM experience - preferred.
• CRC (Active) - required.
