Job Description:
Alantra has professionals that cover the Benelux region since 2016. Our Amsterdam-based M&A Advisory team offers a 4-month internship opportunity for highly motivated and passionate MSc students or recent graduates with a clear and demonstrated interest in M&A. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to support our team in providing comprehensive financial advisory services to corporates, mid-market companies, family offices and private equity clients.
As an Intern you will play an integral role in serving our clients from day one, supporting the team across deal origination and execution cycles in predominantly cross-border M&A. Your responsibilities include data gathering, in-depth company and industry research, financial analysis, valuations and supporting business documentation preparation.
You will get the chance to:
- Work closely in a team of highly experienced investment bankers on M&A transactions in an international environment
- Gain valuable on-the-job training, being an integral part of the deal team
- Get similar levels of exposure as a first-year analyst, assisting in the preparation of materials for clients, conducting industry and company analyses, as well as exposure to financial modelling, valuation analyses and supporting the due diligence processes

Requirements:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional fluency in Dutch and English (orally and written) - mandatory to have both of them
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment that values initiative, creativity, maturity, and poise
- Prior internships or working experience in M&A / investment banking, corporate development or investment advisory are an asset but not a strict requirement
