The Process Specialist plays a crucial role within the Lightspeed Program Delivery team, reporting directly to the Program Delivery Office Manager. This position involves analyzing various activities across the Lightspeed Program, from contract handling to project execution and delivery. The specialist will support the development of new processes, review existing processes, identify inefficiencies, explore automation opportunities, develop process maps, and monitor outcomes post-release to gather feedback for continuous improvement and training. Collaboration is essential, as you will work with teams across all levels, from technical staff to executive management, to implement and enhance new processes.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in process mapping, data analysis, and project management. They should excel in problem-solving and communication, with a keen attention to detail and experience in organizational change management. Familiarity with process management tools and knowledge of the telecom industry are important. Additionally, the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is vital for driving improvements.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and deconstruct existing processes. Study current operating processes and implement change where possible to improve performance; run test scenarios
  • Develop and implement new, efficient systems across program execution and operations.
  • Apply process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen across various departments.
  • Work directly with development teams to observe and analyze project-specific tasks. Meet with stakeholders to review recommendations to increase efficiency
  • Guide on-site personnel in the implementation and adoption of new processes.
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement, focusing on even the smallest details. Lead continuous improvement projects and activities through the use of data and reports
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transition and adoption of improved processes.
  • Generate training materials and collaborate with the Training Coordinator to facilitate workshops, training sessions, and coaching aimed at building continuous improvement capabilities across the organization

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience coordinating projects, preferably on a telecoms/engineering field
  • Demonstrated experience in Process Improvement identification and implementation
  • Strong communication skills for effective team and stakeholder engagement along with the ability to inspire and influence change
  • Capacity to work effectively with diverse teams and personalities
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new tools and techniques quickly
  • Positive attitude (solution-oriented and ability to deal with ambiguity)
  • Professionalism and takes direction well; organized, displays sound judgment, has solid problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, changing environment

DECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION

  • This role supports Lightspeed Program Delivery team via the Program Delivery Office. As the Process Specialist you will be expected to make informed recommendations to the Lightspeed Program Delivery leadership
  • This role has no direct reports, but may work and interact with multi-disciplinary engineering, contracts, legal, and commercial teams

The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
