Duties & Responsibilities:
- Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production.
- Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
- Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
- Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.
- Coordinate the day-to-day administration of HAZMAT shipping and receiving services including, but not limited to: receiving and distributing all received HAZMAT materials; managing outgoing domestic, international and dangerous goods HAZMAT shipping, inventory reconciliation, coordinating production material handling; and supporting all clerical functions associated with HAZMAT shipping and receiving.
- Serves as the Primary Shipping coordinator with the Defense Contract management Agency (DCMA).
- Serves as primary point of contact with carriers for any issues relating to the transportation of hazardous materials. Coordinates with carriers to arrange pickups of all outbound HAZMAT shipments to meet business needs, including arranging for courier service as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience OR a Bachelors Degree with 8 years of experience OR a Masters Degree with 6 years of experience.
- Must be dependable, complete assigned tasks accurately and on time, and possess excellent follow-through. Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Open to continuous process improvement.
- The ideal candidate will be professional, customer-service oriented, personable, and discrete to ensure privacy and confidentiality of company business, employees, and guests.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must have strong MS Office skills.
- May be required to occasionally work overtime, including on weekend and holidays.
- Must be customer oriented and following DG rules and Instructions.
- Must be able to work independently with proactive problem-solving and reasoning skills.
- High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to multi-task amid shifting priorities and timelines while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in data management and knowledge of UPS, Fed EX, and/or other HAZMAT shipping requirements is desirable or obtainable within an agreed upon date
- Government Secret Clearance or willingness to obtain within 4 months
- Dangerous Goods Shipping certification or Willingness to become certified within 6 months (AMMO 62 / IATA / IMDG Code).
Salary Range: $50,500.00 - $84,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
