The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, development and leadership of highly skilled front-line operators and ensuring the delivery of products and supplies with an empowered organization. As part of a global and dynamic organization, with customers all over the world, the Logistics Supervisor performs an important role in achieving our global logistics business goals by keeping up with global regulations and market trends. The person in this role ensures proper utilization of resources, availability and flow of materials and finished goods for our organization, our manufacturing operations and the end customer. 

This role provides oversight for all onsite and offsite logistics operations personnel of about 20 staff members and all activities under the logistics umbrella, including export/import compliance, packaging design, transportation management and inventory control. With a continuous improvement mindset, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible for partnering with leadership teams, global procurement management, the global Roche logistics network and external service providers to drive efficiencies through the optimization of internal and external logistics functions to meet corporate and local objectives.
 

The Opportunity

As a Supervisor - Logistics the opportunity will typically cover the hours of M-F 8:00 - 5:00 PM.

  • Manage staffing, workforce planning, and employee performance, including attendance, timekeeping, and quality, and take corrective action when necessary.

  • Oversee logistics, inventory management, and product delivery. Sets goals, aligns deliverables, and reports on performance metrics. Manage receipt, warehousing, and distribution of products.

  • Apply VACC principles (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coaching) to lead and develop teams. Empowers and mentors direct reports, provides coaching, and manages performance through regular feedback and formal reviews.

  • Work with process leads, global functions, and business areas to align on projects, resolve issues, and support product launches and global initiatives.

  • Drive a lean culture by implementing continuous improvement projects, reducing waste, and using lean manufacturing tools. Oversees area’s 6S performance and hosts improvement activities.

  • Maintain safety and quality standards, addresses hazards, and participates in audits. Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulations, and training requirements.

  • Manage team workload, fosters effective decision-making, removes barriers, and ensures cross-training to meet business needs. Hire, train and onboards new team members.

  • Participate in and lead strategic initiatives to improve business performance, align with global strategies, and enhance customer satisfaction. Engage in contract negotiations with service providers.

  • Support the implementation of global operations strategies and projects. Collaborate with procurement to develop and maintain transportation and warehousing strategies.

  • Proactively identify and pursue development opportunities, maintain a personal development plan, and engage with mentors for ongoing growth.
     

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree

  • 7 years of relevant experience in a logistics/supply chain operations environment or related field,

  • 3 years of  process, people or project leadership experience
     

Preferred Requirements:

  • Supply Chain certification from accredited association

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a high-performing, highly skilled team.

  • Strong team leadership abilities according to VACC principles.

  • Strong logistical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to inspire and influence at all levels of the workforce, including peers and leadership.

  • Ability to be flexible and agile in a fast-paced, constantly changing and high-volume environment.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Marana, Arizona is $72,800.00 - 135,200.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
