Job Description:
Will initiate, manage, and track material procurement using Maximo & SAP. Will coordinate material shipments & transfers between multiple organizations, customers, and suppliers. Manage material requests and deliveries with local and offsite warehouse teams to support aircraft flight test operations. Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements. Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
Candidate will work on a Strike program alongside U.S. Government, U.S. Air Force, Northrop Grumman, and contractor personnel at Edwards AFB, CA and Palmdale, CA. Position will be based at Edwards AFB, CA. Required: This position is to work 2nd Shift on any of these schedules: 4/10, 5/40, or 9/80 schedule. The daily start time for 2nd Shift is flexible but will typically start between 1:00-3:00 P.M.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant Logistics Management Analyst experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. 3 Years with Bachelors degree; 1 Year with Masters degree may also be considered.
- Possess the ability to work in a diverse/integrated work environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in Supply Chain Management
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments.
- A current DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience in team dynamics, exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in an approved environment during specified work hours and will frequently move and position objects weighing 30-50 lbs. overhead.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- Ability work onsite at Edwards AFB.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access clearance within 120 days from submission.
- Candidate will be required to work 2nd Shift for this position but must also have the ability to rotate onto 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd shifts, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- User experience with Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) and Maximo.
- Familiar with processing Return Material Authorization (RMA) and knowledgeable in processing shipments of repairable assets to Source of Repair (SOR) and/or local disposal.
- Experience with material and budget planning.
- Proficiency in procurement process.
- Material control logistic experience.
- Warehouse inventory experience.
- Knowledgeable of SDS’s.
- Trained in HAZMAT operations.
- Knowledge of vendor Certificate of Conformance (CoC).
- Forklift qualified.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Extensive experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Salary Range: $65,600.00 - $98,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
