Logistics Analyst

ABOUT AMPLE:

 Ample is an ambitious startup changing the way energy is delivered to electric cars. The goal of our innovation is to make it easier for a much wider range of users to own and operate an electric vehicle. RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Assist in the coordination and tracking of inbound, outbound and abroad shipments and deliveries, including local, domestic and international via all modes of transport under the supervision of the Logistics Manager
• Act proactively, and take responsibility for early intervention on any issues that may arise in transit
• Establish / maintain outstanding relations with shipping companies,  internal and external customers, and co-workers to ensure accuracy and timeliness in all shipments
• Prepare shipping documentation/labeling for all shipments as required, including BOL, CI, SLI, DGD, etc.
• Daily data entry to ensure accurate internal reporting of shipment status, recording of costs, etc.
• Quoting of various shipments and projects via all modes of transport
• Preparation/packing of outbound shipments as required
• Verifying shipment rates and invoices for accuracy
• Improving company processes for efficiency, quality and safety
• Planning of local delivery routes

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in international shipping required
•  Strong problem solving skills
• Some knowledge of Incoterms 2024, tariffs and duties
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with various shipping modes and carriers required
• Some experience with hazmat transportation preferred
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
•  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Expected Schedule:

M-F, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., some overtime and weekend work may be required

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• 5 years relevant international shipping experience
• Previous dangerous goods/hazmat shipping experience preferred
