We have an exciting opportunity for a LMS/Web Development Coordinator at UL Research Institutes, based in our Columbia, Maryland office.

The Web Development Coordinator will support web development by assisting in the creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of digital properties. The Web Development Coordinator will collaborate with team members to ensure digital properties are functional, visually appealing, and aligned with organizational goals.

What you’ll learn and achieve:

As the LMS/Web Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

  • Assist in the maintenance of various web properties. This may involve using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Update and publish content on various digital properties and ensure timely publication.

  • Support the implementation of responsive designs for mobile and desktop platforms.

  • Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with digital properties, including bugs and performance concerns.

  • Test digital properties for functionality, usability, and compatibility across browsers and devices.

  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and content creators to ensure projects meet expectations.

  • Conduct basic research on web technologies and trends to improve website performance.

  • Provide administrative support to the web team, such as documentation and organizing assets.

  • Act as a first response to users with issues regarding our web properties, utilizing the company Help Desk ticket system to track, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate issues as needed.

  • Support the management of content through all phases of web delivery, search engine optimization activities, page design requirements, page walkthroughs, QA reviews, page performance reviews, content updates, and content archive requests.

  • Perform other duties as directed.

 Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, information technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic knowledge of web development languages, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or Wix).

  • Basic knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

  • Bonus: Basic knowledge of project management tools. (e.g. Asana or Monday.com)
