The Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) program at Leidos is looking to add a Mid-level Linux System Administrator. Our mission is to develop tools for the United States Department of Defense test and training communities, to increase the speed of the development cycle, to get capabilities to the warfighter more rapidly. The System Administrator will work within a team engineers, developers and system administrators adding new capabilities to our enclaves, as well as ensuring the existing systems are secure and performing as intended.
This position is located in Alexandria, VA and you must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance to be considered for this position. The ability to support off-hours system administration on evenings and/or weekends (as needed) is required. In addition this position will allow the ability to work remote 2-3 days a week but the need to be on site on a weekly basis is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide support for installing and maintaining Linux servers using tools such as Ansible, Kickstart etc.
- Provide support for troubleshooting from OS to application-level issues
- Manage networking equipment including switches, routers and firewalls
- Manage configuration and maintenance of core enclave infrastructure services including DCHP, DNS, e-mail, Apache Web Servers, Tomcat application servers, Postgresql database servers
- Configure and monitor security tools required for DoD networks
- Participate and contribute to design discussions related to improving the capabilities, performance and security posture of new and existing services
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant experience doing system administration on Linux servers, networking equipment and security monitoring equipment. In addition a Bachelor’s Degree but additional experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of experience providing System Administration to DoD IT systems
- IAT Level I: A+, CCNA-Security, Network+, SSCP, Security+ CE
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience providing Red Hat System Administration to DoD IT systems
- IAT Level III: CASP CE, CCNP Security+ CE, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- CompTIA Linux+ or Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1
- Experience leading a team

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
