The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Linux Administrator to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. The ideal candidate will provide Linux OS expertise and be responsible for the implementation of all RMF controls to ensure DoD compliance. Additionally, candidate will perform troubleshooting support for application teams as required.
On the EITaaS program, CACI will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DAF to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a LINUX Administrator to configure, manage, and troubleshoot OS related issues and be responsible for the implementation of all RMF controls. The ideal candidate will be a LINUX OS expert with documented experience implementing RMF compliance controls and hardening best practices within DoD. In this role, you will regularly collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to properly identify issues, document processes, and test resolutions.
- Configure, manage, and maintain Linux OS systems in various environments (physical, virtual, cloud)
- High level troubleshooting of common applications and their interactions with the underlying operating systems.
- Act as an escalation point for advanced OS troubleshooting of supported servers
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of storage systems and backup solutions
- Collaborate with DAF enterprise and program security teams to ensure requirements are met
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with customers, stakeholders, and peers
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
- Experience managing RHEL servers in a DoD environment.
- Experience working in a secure location managing devices on a SIPR network
- Experience with RMF and STIG requirements
- Experience with ITILv4
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
- Strong skills with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
Required:
- 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
- Must have DoD Secret clearance
- DoD 8140 compliance; Security + certification at a minimum.
- Experience testing, deploying, and troubleshooting the installation of RHEL and third-party software updates
- Demonstrated experience with planning, configuring, deploying, and implementing automated software and firmware patching, such as WSUS, SCCM, YUM, SolarWinds, etc. for heterogeneous operating systems environments (e.g., Microsoft Windows and Linux)
- Proficiency in RHEL installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Strong command-line skills and scripting abilities (Bash, Python)
- Knowledge of networking protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, etc.)
Desired:
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Familiarity with database administration
- Acts independently to expose and resolve problems

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$68,400-$143,700
