Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Specialist 3 in the Lifecycle and Photos team with Franchisee Care. The Lifecycle team is the team that manages database processes related to the lifecycle of a hotel; onboarding, reservation status changes (e.g., onboarding, rebranding, suspending, reinstating, terminating), GDS switching and set up, OTA mapping and set up; and ensure accurate representation across Choice’s distribution networks (CRS, GDS, OTAs).
As a key member of our Lifecycle team, you will work with our internal stakeholders to ensure all hotels are promptly and correctly set up to meet Corporate and franchisee goals and expectations.

Your Responsibilities

Ensure accurate hotel information in Choice systems and distribution channels (GDS/OTA/CRS) such as property rates, data, marketing text and photos

Manage onboarding, pre-sell, repositioning, suspensions, terminations, and reinstatements

Coordinate OTA (Online Travel Agency) and GDS (Global Distribution System) updates for new hotels and rebrands using required processes and procedures

Serve as the first escalation point for complex and troubleshooting issues

Lead and support projects/programs related to distribution

Collaborate with Choice IT regarding system enhancements and interfaces

Cross-train in other department functions to support knowledge transfer

Generate and contribute to operational reports such as hotel activations, suspensions, reinstatements, future term dates and terminations

Partner with cross-functional teams to address challenges
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies.

High school diploma and GED required
-
3+ years customer service experience in the franchising businesses and/or technical support roles a strong plus
-
Hospitality industry experience is preferred

Experience with ticketing applications for resolution such as Service Now

Knowledge of central management systems (CRS, PMS) as well as OTA and GDS background is preferred
-
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Experience with new hotel openings at an operational or corporate level is highly preferred.

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, Lifecycle and Photos. You will have 5 peer teammate(s) and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Lifecycle, Specialist 3, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ. In October 2021, Choice opened a newly constructed world class technology center.
Right now, our associates in Scottsdale, AZ are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
