Legal Manager

Location: Denver CO, hybrid schedule Mon-Wed in the DT Denver office. Parking is partially subsidized.

Salary range: $125K-$150K, bonus eligible

What you’ll do: 

Responsibilities: 

• Legal Advice and Support: Provide legal advice and support to all departments within the organization.  

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, ensuring they are legally sound and in the best interest of the company.  

• Compliance: Ensure the organization's compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develop and implement compliance programs and policies.  

• Litigation Management: Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, including overseeing external counsel and developing legal strategies.  

• Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.  

• Policy Development: Develop and implement legal policies and procedures.  

• Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate governance matters, including board meetings, minutes, and resolutions.  

• Intellectual Property: Manage the organization's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.  

• Regulatory Affairs: Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization and advise management on necessary actions.  

• Training: Conduct legal training for employees on relevant topics such as contract law, compliance, and risk management.  

• Legal Research: Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of legal issues.  

• Budget Management: Manage the legal department's budget and control legal expenses.  

• Supervision: Supervise and mentor legal staff 

Qualifications 

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. 

• Experience: 8 years of experience practicing law, preferably with some experience in a corporate legal department or law firm. 

Skills 

• Excellent legal research and writing skills. 

• Strong negotiation and communication skills. 

• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical advice. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Strong organizational and time management skills. 

• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
