The Role
As an intern in our legal department, you will work on projects that will give you practical in-house experience within our legal, risk and compliance team. This is a full-time summer position commencing on or around May 15, 2025 and ending on or around August 15, 2025. This is a remote role with preference for the following locations - Omaha, Dallas, NY/NJ, Minneapolis and Miami.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct legal research on various topics, including statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Analyze legal/compliance issues and provide summaries or memos to assist the Legal Risk and Compliance division.
- Draft legal documents including policies, contracts, amendments, and NDAs.
- Maintain and update legal files, documents, and records.
- Assist with projects and other tasks as assigned.
Talents you’ll bring:
- Enrolled in law school and completed at least the first year of law school, preference for 2nd year completed.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Experience reviewing business contracts.
- Prior in-house legal support experience is preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Characteristics you’ll have:

The hourly rate range for this role's listed level is currently $25-35. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members and alignment with market data.
