As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll operate at the intersection of innovation and regulation, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to navigate legal challenges in a fast-moving, international business. Lead legal strategy while driving business impact
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll be the go-to expert for corporate and commercial legal matters, ensuring Loop operates within regulatory frameworks while maintaining agility. You’ll work closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, delivering practical legal guidance that fuels business decisions. Whether advising on product launches, structuring contracts, or mitigating risks, your role ensures legal is seen as an enabler—not a blocker. At the same time, you’ll design and implement compliance frameworks that streamline processes, balancing regulatory obligations with speed and efficiency.
Your other responsibilities:
- Advise senior leadership on strategic legal matters, providing clear, actionable solutions.
- Oversee compliance and risk management across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring robust frameworks are in place.
- Support cross-border initiatives, including new market entries and regulatory requirements.
- Implement legal technology tools for contract management and compliance tracking.
- Conduct legal training sessions to equip teams with the knowledge they need to navigate challenges effectively.
How you’ll succeed as a Senior Legal Counsel
Success in this role requires a mix of analytical precision, business acumen, and a proactive mindset. You’ll need to balance legal risks with commercial objectives, working alongside stakeholders who move fast and expect clear, no-nonsense advice. Collaboration is key—you’ll be embedded in critical decision-making processes, ensuring legal considerations are integrated from the start.
These key competencies will set you up for success:
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills that simplify complex legal topics.
- 7+ years of experience with at least 2 years in corporate and commercial law, ideally in an international environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a practical, business-first approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to build and implement scalable legal processes that enhance efficiency.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset, thriving in high-growth, fast-paced settings.
