ポジション概要

事業拡大に伴い、Legal 部門の法務担当者を急募しています。会社の様々な業務に対して法的サポートを提供し、日本の法律および規制に準拠し、法的リスクを軽減することがこの役割のミッションです。日本の法律に関するバックグラウンドや、日本語と英語でのコミュニケーション能力を活かしていただけます。

主な業務内容:

  • 商業契約、企業ガバナンス、規制遵守を含む会社内のすべての部門に対する法的アドバイスおよびサポート
  • 契約書、合意書、ポリシーなどの法的文書の作成、レビュー、交渉
  • 決済、データ保護、消費者権利に関連する日本の法律および規制に従った会社業務の確保
  • 外部の法務顧問との連携
  • 法的紛争解決や訴訟その他の法的手続きの対応
  • 会社に影響を及ぼす可能性のある法律および規制の変更に係る最新情報の把握と、必要調整に関するタイムリーなガイダンスの提供
  • 法的リスクを最小限に抑えるための内部ポリシーおよび手続きの策定、実施
  • 社員の役割に関連する法的事項についてのトレーニングおよび指導

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. This role will be integral in providing legal support across various aspects of our business, ensuring compliance with Japanese laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Japanese law, excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English, and a keen interest in the fast-evolving fintech industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to all departments within the company, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
  • Ensure the company’s operations comply with relevant Japanese laws and regulations, particularly in the areas of payments, data protection, and consumer rights.
  • Work closely with external legal counsel. 
  • Assist in resolving disputes and handling litigation or other legal proceedings.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that could impact the company, providing timely guidance on necessary adjustments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to minimize legal risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on legal matters relevant to their roles.
Requirements
必要な資格
  • 日本での法科大学院修了または法学部卒業
  • 法務部門または法律事務所での2年以上の実務経験
    • インハウス経験は必須ではありませんが、フィンテック業界に対する関心と学習への積極的な姿勢が評価されます
  • 日本語(ネイティブレベル)と英語(ビジネスレベル)のコミュニケーション能力
  • 民法、会社法、個人情報保護法を含む日本の法律に関する深い理解
  • 優れたドラフトおよび交渉スキル
  • 強い対人スキル
  • 独立して働き、スピード感のある環境でマルチタスクを処理できる能力
  • 問題解決スキルと詳細に対する注意力

歓迎される資格

  • フィンテック、決済、または技術分野での経験または知識
  • 割賦販売法およびその他のフィンテック関連の法律および規制に関する知識
  • 多国籍または異文化環境での勤務経験

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a law school or bachelor's degree in law in Japan
  • 2 years of work experience in-house, in a law firm or similar 
    • Previous in-house experience is not mandatory, but a passion for the fintech industry and a proactive attitude towards learning are highly valued.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese laws, including the Civil Code, Companies Act and Personal Information Protection Act.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in or knowledge of the fintech, payments, or technology sectors.
  • Knowledge of the Installment Sales Act & other fintech-related laws and regulations.
  • Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment.
