The legal intern position is part of the LATAM Legal & Compliance Organization. The intern will be based in São Paulo, Brazil.
How you'll make an impact:
•Support the legal and compliance Director, as well as other team members.
•Assist with various legal and compliance tasks, including document preparation, legal research, and administrative support.
•Manage diverse administrative tasks related to the legal & compliance department's routines, such as contract controls, organizing and maintaining physical and digital document files.
•Handle tasks related to the contract management system, including training new users, ensuring system folders are updated, and interfacing with the dedicated support department to resolve any operational issues.
•Prepare and review, under supervision, less complex documents such as powers of attorney, letters, notifications, contract amendments, and terminations. Also, review of external lawyers' invoices and approval in internal payment systems.
What you'll need (Required):
These educational background and experiences ensure that a legal intern can effectively support attorneys, conduct thorough legal research, draft documents, and assist in various legal proceedings.
•Currently enrolled in an accredited law school, ideally in the 2nd year of the Law Degree. We look for someone who graduates in 2027 and can stay with us for 2 years while finishing their studies, dedicating 30h per week.
•Fluent in English
•Good understanding and use of Microsoft365.
•Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills or relevant extracurricular activities.
What else we look for (Preferred):
•Previous internship experience in a legal setting, such as a law firm, court, or legal clinic, is highly recommended.
•Experience with invoices and reporting systems.
•Practical experience through participation in moot court, or legal research projects.
•Familiarity with legal research tools.
• Fluent in Spanish will be positively considered.
