The IKEA Production System secures the best practices in performance management, operations and way of working which are implemented in the factories. The transformations are driven by our lean navigators in collaboration with management teams and co-workers.
Job Description
The Lean/IPS team is a part of Operational Excellence at IKEA Industry. The Lean/IPS team mission is to support and strengthen IKEA Industry factories and IKEA suppliers’ factories to continuous improvement by coaching and challenging, using our lean/IPS concept as base.
You will report to the IPS & Quality Manager and be responsible for leading IPS Concept Development.
In this role you will:
- Lead IPS Concept Development – in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to challenge and improve current ways. Develop assessment methods and tools to understand As-Is and support our stakeholders with guidance in their respective IPS journeys. Communication will be a vital ingredient in what you do.
- Responsible for IPS Training offer - structure and maintain a relevant IPS training portfolio made available via several different channels. Coordinate IPS trainings together with Supply Areas. Establish and maintain IPS related skills matrixes for selected roles. Facilitate selected IPS related trainings and train co-workers in IPS thinking, methods and tools
Qualifications
We are looking for a senior lean expert with experience of developing and communicating lean concepts. We would like you to challenge our current state and combine pragmatic lean approach with what digitalization could offer. You are driven by achieving result in collaboration with others and you believe that leadership is a mindset visible in behaviors and actions. You are constantly looking for synergies, support collective learning and continuous improvements. You encourage people around you to become better together while nurturing cost-consciousness, reducing overlaps with down to earth approach. You build strong relationships with your stakeholders.
You:
- Are lean expert with several years of experience in implementing and managing successful lean projects in different environments and in a global context
- Experience in developing lean concepts, preferably in business environment which is already digitized
- Excellent communicator with the ability to make complex topics understandable for the many.
- Are passionate about IKEA values, our vision and business idea.

Location for this position is Malmö, Sweden
The position requires global travelling (+75 travel days yearly).
