We currently have the following opportunity available - please contact us for more details!
We don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone dealing with cancer.
What you’ll do at Elekta
As a Lead Verification Engineer, you will be part of a hardware team, developing mechanical and electronic solutions in an agile framework, for our Linear Accelerator portfolio. You’ll play a key role in all phases of the verification process, including planning, specification, execution, and reporting for both new solutions and modifications to existing products.
You will collaborate closely with the hardware designers and other verification functions setting up environments for testing to ensure a testable design and provide early feedback on the product performance. Additionally, general understanding of mechanical or mechatronics systems, handling tools (i.e. power tools), practical experimental work, test tool development, configuration management, and requirements tracking are essential aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Participate in all stages of development projects, with a focus on verification, requirements engineering, documentation, and configuration management, in compliance with company standards.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases and environments
- Perform exploratory and regression testing.
- Identify defects and report bugs with a strong attention to detail.
- Develop and validate test tools.
- Create and review verification documents.
- Review technical product documents, including drawings and design-related materials.
- Contribute to the development of technical testing strategies.
- Manage test sites and related activities.
- Keep up with the latest technical and clinical advancements in the field.
Are you a hands-on person, comfortable working in labs or garage environments, experienced in handling power tools and following safety instructions, and naturally curious about how things work? Then please keep reading and apply!
What you bring
To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate high integrity and attention to detail throughout the verification process. You should also be confident in advocating for necessary changes to ensure product quality and safety. This is an individual contributor role that requires close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, so a proactive, self-starter attitude is essential.
We believe you should also have:
- A university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in verification and testing methodologies.
- Professional experience with mechanical measuring equipment.
- Experience in mechanical design and/or mechatronic systems; familiarity with CAD systems is an advantage.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Why should you join Elekta?
In this role, you will work for a higher purpose: hope for everyone dealing with cancer and for everyone, regardless of where they are in the world, to have access to the best cancer care. Additionally, our benefit package includes:
- 30 paid vacation days/year, additional 4 Elekta days off /year (plus bank holidays).
- Attractive defined contribution pension scheme.
- Private Medical Insurance.
- Lunch Benefit.
