As a Lead Technical Program Manager with a specialization as an Agile Coach/Sr. Agility Lead/Scrum Master in the Corporate & Investment Bank's Payments Technology team, you will drive the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs that will help reaching business goals across the firm. Leveraging your deep technical background, you'll act as a servant leader for your team(s) by facilitating clear communication to management and to the team. You will take ownership of your team's performance by understanding the intricacies of the business and technology. You will act as a catalyst in changing the team and organizational culture towards agile delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Works with the Sr. Product Managers, Product Owners, and Engineering Leads to align teams with the product vision, charter, sprint goals, and other necessary information
- Facilitate groups of 30 or more and coach multiple teams across the product line
- Creates an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
- Champions continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coaches teams to conduct continuous improvement events
- Seeks opportunities for improvement to the overall effectiveness of teams and the organization
- Communicates organizational impediments to leadership; clears impediments for the team
- Embraces the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instills the same in the team(s) you coach
- Coach product owners in creation and maintenance of the product backlog, including empirical planning
- Appreciate the depths of Agile practices and principles, and help teams appreciate them and teach systems thinking and servant leadership
- Bring ideas from professional facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution to help the team become a high-performance team
- Handle multi-project delivery as well as Agility coaching responsibilities.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Strong familiarity and adherence to core Agile values and principles
- Experience as a practicing Agility Lead/Scrum Master on a team
- Experience in scaled agile frameworks
- Ability to coach and mentor
- Current or previous technical development experience
- Exposure to modern engineering practices like Unit Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration
- A mindset of servant leadership and the ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
- Expert with Agile and Scrum framework and its application in Product Development and delivery organization
- Experience with JIRA, Tableau, JIRA Align, Lucid spark (or equivalent) and Confluence
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant industry certifications such as CSM, SAFe etc.
- Leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and more to serve the team(s)
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies
- Ability to leverage capabilities across the firm to solve local problems
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Master, SAFe® Agilist, ICP ATF - Agile Team Facilitation, ICP ACC Certification - Agile Coaching
