In this role, you will:
- Lead a variety of systems quality assurance testing initiatives on software systems
- Act as key participant in planning for systems quality assurance
- Automate test procedures, cases, and research new tools, technologies, and processes to improve quality assurance
- Lead testing, development, and project teams to provide training, resolve escalated issues, assess testing needs, and recommend changes
- Provide guidance to team
- Lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business
- Work with leaders to define and establish processes, templates, and standards related to systems testing
- Interact with more experienced leaders to provide support and propel efforts for the business
- Recommend compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and implement key risk initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Systems Quality Assurance experience and systems or application testing , or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Must have API testing experience and working on cloud platforms.
- Programming experience in Java/C#
- SQL expertise
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally.
- Strong expertise in test strategy, planning and execution across functional, automation, performance and ADA testing.
- Broad and deep knowledge of test automation methodologies and frameworks across Engineering practices, IT infrastructures, platforms, tools, and technologies.
- Experienced in developing the automation frameworks (Web/Mobile).
- Experienced on working micros services automation.
- Experienced in quality engineering practices like Code review, Secure coding practices, Code Quality, Code Coverage, CI/CD.
- Experience into test automation with tools such as Selenium/Playwright/UFT.
- Deep understanding of Behavior Driven Development methodology.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of software quality by participating in code reviews, design discussions, and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
- Communicate test results and status to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Extensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of enterprise quality engineering transformation journey.
- Prior experience implementing test automation solutions in a dynamic, complex, and scaled environment.
- Experience in Banking domain is must - (1 – 2 yrs) (preferably Lending)
- Ability to quickly understand the business process and map the application functions
- Excellent analytical & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Should be effective communicator
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline
- Candidate can clearly demonstrate their implementation experience.
- Candidate can demonstrate that they have the capability to ramp up quickly without a lot of instruction, training, or hand-holding.
- Candidate can demonstrate that they possess a balance of technical skills with hands-on implementation experience
- Candidate can demonstrate that they have the soft skills to support a lack of detailed instruction or training.
- Iterative and Agile development methodology
Job Expectations:
- Plan and estimate testing efforts, considering automation and performance testing.
- Design and enforce testing standards, best practices and processes
- Oversee test case design, execution, and defect tracking
- Drive automation initiatives, ensure CI/CD pipeline, and monitor the SIT and UAT.
- Collaborate with product owners, development team and DevOps to ensure quality standards
- Represent QA in agile ceremonies
- Define and track key QA metrics and provide regular reports on testing progress, impediments
- Implement exploratory and risk-based testing approaches
- Should be able to support Application/business stream independently, address regulatory requirements
- Should be able to work independently on projects and enhancements
- Should be able to participate and support designing the solution for business problem
- Create test code to validate the application against business requirement
- Monitor the performance of applications and infrastructure
- Troubleshooting applications with fast and accurate resolution
- Automate Functional, regression testing with UFT/Selenium or similar using VBScript/C#/Java
