Lead Architect-Oracle

Lead Architect As a Lead Software and Cloud Architect at Particle41, you will drive the design and development of our cloud-native solutions. You will be asked to use your expertise in software/database design, and AWS technologies to craft robust and scalable architectures that meet the evolving needs of our clients. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide strategic guidance to align technical decisions with business objectives, ensuring the delivery of innovative and high-quality projects. Your role will also involve mentoring and coaching team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

In This Role, You Will:

Architecture Design:

• Lead the design and architecture of cloud-native solutions using modern software stacks and AWS.
• Define system architecture and design patterns to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Design and optimize database architectures using Oracle, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Create and maintain database design documentation, including ERDs and data flow diagrams.
• Establish best practices for database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and frameworks to support business requirements.

Strategic Guidance:

• Provide strategic guidance to align technical decisions with business goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the technical roadmap and vision.
• Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies and industry trends.

Mentorship and Coaching:

• Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and expertise.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and maintainability.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and QA.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.

Leadership:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance on architectural decisions and implementations.
• Lead by example through hands-on involvement in coding and design discussions.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure project success.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and methodologies.
• Implement metrics and monitoring systems to track system performance and reliability.
• Facilitate lessons-learned meetings to learn from past experiences and improve future projects.

Industry Best Practices:

• Stay up to date with industry best practices and standards in software architecture.
• Implement best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
• Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices within the team.

Skills and Experience We Value:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on architecture design and database architecture
• Extensive expertise in .NET, Java, or NodeJS programming language, AWS cloud services, and Oracle database technologies
• Strong experience with Oracle database architecture, including performance tuning and optimization, high availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard), and database migration and upgrade strategies
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale database solutions in enterprise environments
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud architectures
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native solutions
• Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
• Experience with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Familiarity with modern software development practices, tools, and frameworks
• Certifications in relevant technologies, such as AWS Solutions Architect, .NET, or Oracle certifications (Oracle Certified Professional or Oracle Certified Master) are a plus
