Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Execute and design creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Participate in planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and develop the proposed IT solution to develop software applications. Perform design reviews and provide design recommendations, incorporate security requirements into design, and provide input on information and data flow for software application development. Incorporate corporate architectural standards into application design specifications, document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop and enhance software application modules. Conduct code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Identify and troubleshoot application programming-related issues, review and provide feedback on the final user documentation, and mentor more junior engineers. Responsible for evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Work with the test team to ensure the testing results correspond to business expectations, as well as in production support triaging activities, and serve as a subject matter expert in the development of software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Software/IT Architect, Systems Analyst, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Software/IT Architect, Systems Analyst, Software Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Agile SDLC; Application Architecture Disciplines; Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines; Microservices; Apache Kafka; Docker; Spring; HTML; Java; Javascript; SQL; REST; JSON; Kubernetes; Oracle; Splunk; Junit; Automated Testing; Unit Testing.
