Lead Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to be part of their Real Time Payments Team. RTPAY connects Wells Fargo to the Real Time Payments network maintained by The Clearing House (TCH) and the Fed Now network maintained by the Federal Reserve. This will enable customers to send and receive real-time payments directly to/from their DDA. This application will utilize the new RTP process developed by TCH/FED to enable businesses, individuals, and government agencies to send and receive money real time. Wells Fargo is in process of rewriting their Real Time Payments platform to Open Tech stack and adopting some of the key deployment strategies to achieve key business goals like 99.9999% availability and 400 transactions per second through put.

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5  years of Java/Spring/Spring Boot
• 1-3 years of Mongo DB OR any no-SQL Database
• 1-3 years of Kafka Experience
• Proficient in Micro-Services architecture
• Proficient in monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Grafana
• Experienced in DevOps practices with tools like Git, and Jenkins

Desired Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of Banking experience
• 1-3 years of Real Time Payments experience
• 1-3 year of Microsoft Azure experience
• 1-3 years of IBM experience

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$111,100.00 - $217,200.00
