Get to Know the Team

DNA (Demand and Ads) mobile team uses promotions and advertisements to improve user experience is a specialised group of professionals dedicated to enhancing user engagement within mobile applications. You will report into the Software Engineering Manager, Mobile. Our team combines the skills and responsibilities of mobile app development with the strategic use of promotions and ads to create a more engaging and user-friendly experience.

To improve Grab's multiple services, our team should employ data-driven strategies such as user segmentation, geolocation-based promotions, and in-app ads while collaborating with multiple teams and components include partnering with local businesses and restaurants for cross-promotions, analysing user feedback and survey data. Additionally, the team should focus on user engagement promotions, A/B testing, and monitor ad performance. This multifaceted approach, involving multiple partners and components, prioritises user privacy and delivers a personalised and valuable user experience.

This is a hybrid role and the office is based in Petaling Jaya.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for iOS Engineers who are highly experienced professionals responsible for leading the development of iOS applications. They excel in app development, architectural design, code review, and mentoring, ensuring app performance and adherence to best practices. Their expertise includes user interface design, API integration, security implementation, and device compatibility, making them valuable assets in delivering high-quality iOS apps.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will manage the App Development: Create, enhance, and maintain the Grab app.
• You will ensure seamless ad and promotion integration.
• You will develop features for better user engagement.
• You will work collaboratively with QA and UX teams.
• You will continuously monitor app performance.
• You will engage in code reviews for quality assurance.
• You will consolidate document changes and integrations.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• We're looking for someone who has at least 8 years of working experience - with at least 5+ years of relevant experience in iOS application development.
• You are well versed in Swift and Objective C, the two main languages used for iOS development.
• You are familiar with the iOS system and programming paradigm including OOP, TDD, reactive patterns and dependency injection
• You have working knowledge of several architectural approaches including clean architecture, RIB, VIPER and/or MVVM
• You have experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design, unit testing and UI testing techniques
• You have extensive experience in maintaining applications, crash analytics, remote debugging and continuous integration
• The ability to independently develop iOS App or well-known open source works.
• You have experience in developing apps with Flutter.
