About the Role


The SDR Lead will assist our Sr. SDR in overseeing a team of SDRs and driving sales pipeline growth by qualifying leads generated from marketing campaigns and leading outbound prospecting efforts. You will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching our Sr. SDR and the SDR team, ensuring they meet their targets and contribute to overall sales success. As an experienced leader with a passion for the fitness industry, you'll inspire your team to perform at their best while helping push new business opportunities through the sales pipeline.


This position requires a combination of sales expertise, team leadership skills, and fitness industry knowledge. You’ll play a key role in both the lead qualification process and leading strategic outbound sales initiatives to support the growth of PushPress.

What You'll Do

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of SDRs, providing guidance, training, and feedback to help them achieve their targets. Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment focused on success.
  • Qualifying Marketing Leads: Manage and qualify leads generated from marketing campaigns, ensuring SDRs are efficiently reaching out, identifying key opportunities, and scheduling meetings for Account Executives (AEs).
  • Outbound Sales Generation: Lead by example in outbound prospecting efforts, including cold calls, emails, social media outreach, and targeted prospecting to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring that qualified leads are promptly handed off to AEs and tracked accurately through the CRM.
  • Sales Development Strategy: Work with sales leadership to develop and implement SDR strategies for lead qualification and outbound prospecting, aligned with broader company objectives.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on key SDR performance metrics (e.g., calls, emails, meetings scheduled, lead conversion) to monitor and improve team performance.

What You'll Need

  • Fitness Industry Experience: Prior experience in the fitness industry (e.g., gym ownership, fitness studios, or wellness businesses) is required.
  • Sales Development Experience: 3-5 years in sales development with a focus on lead qualification and outbound prospecting.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and mentor SDR teams, with experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Results-Driven: Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving pipeline growth.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to lead teams and engage prospects effectively.
  • Resiliency: Ability to stay persistent and motivated in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools (Outreach, SalesLoft).

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • People Management Experience: Previous experience managing or leading a sales team, including setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and implementing development plans.
