At Q2ebanking we are looking for a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our professional services team based out of Bangalore.

  • Work with developers, business analysts, project managers and other stakeholders to understand the goals and deliverables of each project and how it relates to our industry and our product's standard functionality.


  • Execute automated test cases, provide results, and create resulting defects with diagnostic information for proper triage.


  • Create, manage, execute, and maintain automation test scripts.


  • Help author, review, and critique Python unit tests and other test scripts.


  • Setup and maintain test environments and test automation.


  • Work with developers to explain test outcomes and guide them to understanding exit criteria.


  • Ability to focus on detail while also exercising pragmatism to keep up with project deadlines.


  • Participate in and contribute test effort estimates in Sprint/Release planning sessions.


  • Be passionate about driving product quality throughout the product line.


  • Mentor other test engineers in the practice of test automation


  • Maintain documentation of test results and prepare detailed reports on findings.


  • Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards.


  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.


  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical disciplines and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience


  • Strong experience with Automation, Test Plans, and Testing Methodology


  • Experience working with different automation frameworks and experience designing at least one framework from scratch.


  • Strong experience in testing web services like SOAP and RESTful APIs (API testing and API automation testing)


  • Strong experience in testing web-based software solutions and UI Automation scripting.


  • Experience with Python and SQL is considered a plus.


  • Experience with Automation tools such as Selenium with Python/Java and Selenium Grid


  • Strong knowledge in Object oriented programming.


  • Experience in leading some of the automation initiatives.


  • Strong test case management skills (Create, Execute, Report, Revise, Repeat)


  • Strong experience in debugging complex web applications issues through code review and detailed logs .


  • Excellent communication and teaming skills especially with highly technical team members


  • Strong test plan organization and test execution planning skills in a CI and Agile environment


  • Experience working in small, highly efficient teams with a high degree of collaboration process.


  • Passionate about the work, proactive work ethic, and has a highly motivated attitude to provide excellence in software quality.


  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab pipelines is a plus.


  • Experience with version control systems such as Gitlab/ Bitbucket


  • Experience with defect tracking systems; JIRA is considered a plus.


  • Experience with tools & applications such as JIRA, Confluence, QTest , Browser stack


  • Experience with SAAS is highly desired.


  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary for deadlines.


This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
