Job Description
BAE Systems is growing - we are hiring a Program Manager in the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Division for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This position will fill the role of Booster Section Lead PM and report directly to the Flight Systems AVE Deputy. This role is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to support the development and deployment of the next generation ICBM.
This individual will serve as the lead for a team of dedicated and experienced engineers in developing three of the primary solid rocket motor stages of the LGM-35A Sentinel Weapon System. Duties include: supervisory responsibilities; strategic customer engagement; personnel development; task planning and tracking; schedule analysis; report review and creation; technical briefings; independent development of briefing materials; and other special projects including organizational efficiency studies and process improvement.

BAE Systems, located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah is closely aligned to the United States Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. We support the Center in sustaining the existing LGM-30 Minuteman III (MMIII) weapon system and acquiring its replacement, the LGM-35A Sentinel. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 10 years (8 years with a Master's Degree) of demonstrated experience in management of defense systems, technology projects, or research and development activities.
- Excellent cognitive, communication (both written and spoken), and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead moderate to large teams.
- Experience with DoD acquisition programs.
- Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work with successful results.
- Proactive and creative problem solver with extreme attention to detail.
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance (or higher).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- A Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or Engineering Management or related technical or programmatic fields.
- Experience in building and applying model-based systems engineering.
- ICBM Weapon System experience.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
