Role Overview
As a Lead Product Manager, you will own a significant part of the customer journey, and are responsible for defining a vision and strategy that impacts multiple product areas and teams within GetYourGuide. You will have an executive presence to gain buy-in and influence the company's long-term vision. In this role, you will execute complex projects that require multiple Product, Business, and Sales teams that depend on you to achieve their goals.
Your core mission team consists of a cross-functional group of engineers, product designers, researchers, and analysts passionate about improving how users discover and book unforgettable experiences. As a leader in the company, this role requires a growth mindset and the ambition to dive into complex problems with a positive mindset. We are looking for a Lead Product Manager who can envision GetYourGuide beyond its current state, champion our users' voices, and execute on a global scale.
You will:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for your product area, set clear, measurable goals, and take full responsibility for outcomes. Drive sustained customer impact through a long-term (12 months+) roadmap, identifying areas for non-incremental impact.
- Articulate and connect your product area’s strategy to the company’s mission. Break down the strategy into actionable steps, regularly update stakeholders on progress, and create excitement for your long-term vision. Build alignment within cross-functional teams and with outside stakeholders.
- Analyze customer feedback, market trends, and business metrics to inform decision-making. Prioritize initiatives, re-evaluate the roadmap based on new insights, and ensure the most valuable features are delivered first. Make strategic decisions on sequencing and prioritizing product work to maximize impact and learning.
- Build trust with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, to set clear expectations and align them with your product area’s roadmap. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and create buy-in across the organization.
- Plan and execute experiments to test hypotheses, develop A/B tests, and analyze data to derive actionable insights. Leverage experimentation to evaluate your team's investment and inform future product decisions.
- Represent customer interests at all levels of the organization, advocating for user needs in strategic discussions. Act with openness and transparency with your team, peers, and executive leadership. Provide coaching and mentorship to other team members, helping them grow and develop their skills. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and advocate for user needs in strategic discussions.
Who you are
- 6+ years of professional experience in product management and at least 2+ as a Lead Product Manager in direct customer-facing roles
- Demonstrated ownership over a multiple product areas in a previous role, including responsibilities for strategy, KPI setup, goal-setting, and execution of roadmap
- Ability to build alignment with a cross-functional mission team in a collaborative way that is aligned with our Guiding Principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong data analytics skills with the ability to derive insights from large data sets
- Demonstrated passion for driving customer and business impact
- Bonus: Experience working in a marketplace or the travel industry is a plus but not required
- Bonus: An engineering or analytics background is a plus, but not required
