Lead Product Engineer
Salary: $154500 to $175000 per year
Location: Evanston, IL and various, unanticipated locations throughout the United States.

Job Role and Responsibility: Lead and oversee the research, design, and development of computer and specialized utility programs, including managing end-to-end development projects and junior engineers/developers (25%); Design and implement a wide spectrum of Digital and Analytic solutions to improve commercial and operational effectiveness for clients (20%); Work with the client to understand business issues and actively lead the design and development of software products and features that meet client needs, utilizing Java, JavaScript, HTML, Python, and CSS and any other necessary technology (20%); Lead the development of unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, code reviews, and direct QA Analysts to ensure the highest quality software (10%); Collaborate with DevOps to ensure the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and monitor health, performance, and user behavior in production environments (5%); Develop and implement engineering practices that ensure quality products, including but not limited to automated testing, unit testing, Agile development, continuous integration, code reviews, and technical design (10%); Serve as a technical lead and work with product managers to design product architecture using complex software concepts such as applications, systems, databases, and high-level programming languages (10%). May work in various, unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
Position requires experience with:
1. Managing end-to-end technology projects;
2. Leading/mentoring teams;
3. Client-facing experience;
4. Programming/Scripting: Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python;
5. Testing Frameworks: Junit and Pytest
6. Data structures and algorithms;
7. System design;
8. Database systems; and
9. Design principles.
